Alex has been beside himself thanks to a small mountain of presents. However, Mummy and Daddy committed the ultimate crime by forgetting batteries. Turns out that there is nothing like an absence of batteries to cause crushing disappointment for a 3 year old. Spending the day dressed as Spiderman and Superman went some way in making up for it.
Daddy has grown a new appendage to his hip, the new laptop.
Mummy tried hard to stay organised, keeping track of presents before giving in to the chaos.
Whilst Elliott, just enjoyed the normal daily cycle of cry, feed, play, cry, sleep, cry, feed (with lots of smiles thrown in).
In true Banga family style, Christmas dinner was an extended affair. Lasting about 5 hours, we only managed to sit down for Christmas dinner at 7pm. After dinner, we were pretty exhausted and stuffed. Over the course of the day Alex had managed to work himself up into a frenzy, trying to play with all presents at once, irrespective of the presence or absence of batteries. It is fair to say that his bedtime was met with great relief to the grown-ups.
Mummy was delighted to spend the day without having to watch Christmas telly. We managed to separate Daddy from the laptop for long enough for him to coordinate the preparation of a magnificent dinner. Alex was completely overwhelmed by the whole experience. Whilst Elliott, the baby legend, was a superstar, apart from wanting to feed every time Mummy sat down to eat. A wonderful day was had by all.
And Alex's favourite present....his strawberry lip-balm....Brilliant.
Elliott: The Baby Legend
P.S. The Banga family acquired batteries on Boxing Day, I wish we hadn't.

Just leaving a comment as a test - uncle Paul
